Tasked with developing a request for proposal (RFP), I collaborated with two other peers in a business writing class during my graduate program. Working through significant time zone differences, we wrote the proposal as if representing the nonprofit Diversify Our Narrative.

The Nissan Foundation provides grants to deserving organizations each year to celebrate cultural diversity and build community. We created a strong RFP for implementing ethnically diverse and anti-racist lesson plans throughout schools in the Los Angeles Unity School District. My primary responsibilities were the goals, objectives, and project description within the proposal. Each team member reviewed and edited to result in the final proposal.
